Today was the Annual Christmas Dinner at WME! Teachers decorated the gym in the morning, then served students their holiday feast! As near as I can find out, this WME tradition is at least 40 years old! A kindergartner said, "This is the most specialist day ever!"

Scholastic Book Fair and FFA/Title I Reading Rodeo on September 3! The Book Fair will open and events will begin at 4:30 and continue through 7:30. Bring your kiddos and enjoy some fun!
Open House & Bright Futures BBQ
Teachers in grades 1-6 hope you’ll be able to attend the Open House scheduled for Thursday, August 29 from 5:30-7:00. The doors will open at 5:15. A schedule of when teachers are presenting will be posted on the walls. Join your child’s teacher for the 15-minutes to discuss expectations and students’ responsibilities for the year. While you’re waiting to meet with your child’s teacher, head in to the gym for dinner! WM Bright Futures is once again hosting a Bright Futures Bar-B-Q of hot dogs and chips. EVERYONE (all families of students in PreK-6!!) is invited to help celebrate the new school year. Parents As Teachers & Youth in Need will be set up, and there will be other resources available to explore. We’re so lucky to live in a community that is willing to reach out and share ideas and resources!
