The December 2019 Students of the Month for Wellsville-Middletown Jr/Sr High are Emily Huff (JH) and Libby Kleinsorge (HS). Mr. Boenker nominated Emily for “being a delight to have in class. She works hard, is respectful, helpful to her classmates, and participates in classroom activities. She has taken on a leadership role within her class, and all of her work is quality.” Emily is the daughter of Kirsten and Randy Huff of Wellsville. Emily is currently a 7th grader. Her favorite pastime is drawing and listening to music. Emily’s favorite subject is Art, and her favorite food in Cool Ranch Doritos. Emily says the best part of being a tiger is the school. Her future plans are to get a good job. Libby was nominated by Mr. Slovensky. “She is the top geometry student and my best freshmen student in all of my classes.” Libby is the daughter of David and Kristen Kleinsorge of Middletown. She is currently a freshman. Her favorite pastime is playing with her dog, Daisy. Libby’s favorite subject is math and her favorite food is BBQ ribs. Libby says the best part of being a tiger is the fun people. Libby’s future plans are to continue her education at the next level..
The criteria for student of the month are high attendance rate for the month, contributes to class, club, and/or athletic activities, showed marked improvement or continued excellence in performance, is prepared for class, class participation, demonstrates responsibility, and is respectful to peers and teachers.
