The August 2019 Students of the Month for Wellsville-Middletown Jr/Sr High are Della Gosseen (JH) and Jordan Lionberger (HS). Ms. Ripperger nominated Della for “being a wonderful student, always being prepared, and a hard worker.” Della is the daughter of Deryl and Tiffany Gosseen of Wellsville. Della is currently a 7th grader. Her favorite past time is to listen to music. Della enjoys camping and her favorite food is pasta. She is a member of the JH Choir and her favorite subject is Choir Della says the best part of being a tiger is the small school. Her future plans include pursuing music or journalism. Jordan was nominated by Mrs. Rakers for “being willing to come to school early or stay late to work on schoolwork. I’m proud of her and her hard work.” Jordan is the daughter of Marty and Sara Lionberger of Middletown. She is currently a junior. Her favorite past time is cleaning. Jordan enjoys farming and her favorite food is sloppy joes. She is a member of the FFA and her favorite subject is Yearbook. Jordan says the best part of being a tiger is getting the opportunity to know everyone in school. Her future plans include pursuing something in real estate.
The criteria for student of the month are high attendance rate for the month, contributes to class, club, and/or athletic activities, showed marked improvement or continued excellence in performance, is prepared for class, class participation, demonstrates responsibility, and is respectful to peers and teachers.
