Quiz Bowl Team Wins District Championship!!

April 14, 2014

The Quiz Bowl Team won its second consecutive District Championship on Saturday. Gage and Kagan made the All-District Team (they were among the top 6 overall scorers). We went 2-1 in the preliminary rounds, losing a close match to Calvary Lutheran and were thus seeded second in the semifinal round. We beat Chamois 480-70 in that game (setting school records for points scored in a game and margin of victory, according to Mr. Deering's records) and then avenged their earlier loss to Calvary by winning the final, 310-210.

The team will travel to New Franklin on Wednesday, April 30th for Sectionals. The winner (best 2-of-3) advances to the Class 1 State Tournament at Mizzou on May 9th.
