NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY (NHS)

The National Honor Society is a service organization. Membership is based on a student's scholarship, character, leadership, and service. For specific requirements, please see the Student Handbook. Organization colors are blue and gold.

Activities: NHS has had several activities this year. We had a fall college visit day to the University of Missouri--St. Louis and Lindenwood University. In December, we helped local seniors decorate for Christmas and also helped decorate the Reed House (a local museum). Our blood drives in 2010 were very successful. We hope to have two blood drives next year also.

 

Announcements:

Officer Elections for the 2010-11 school year will be at the April 8 meeting. Officer petitions are due April 7.

Wellsville Betterment Foundation meeting on April 8.

Community Trash Pick-up with the Betterment Foundation on April 22.

New member induction for the 2010-11 school year will be May 5 in the high school cafeteria.
